GFD: Out of This Club

Chapter 2

I had spent the entire night rejecting clients, very much intent on waiting for that friendly human boy from yesterday. My usual practiced 'come hither' look was put on extended cancel; I didn't bat a single eyelash, nor did I express any other sort of provocative invitation. All that effort to NOT be sexy, and it still did me no good. Saggy old wrinkled men approached me anyway. Sigh...

Not to be arrogant or anything, but sometimes... being beautiful can be such a bother.

To maker matters worse, I felt the beginnings of a hunger pain. No, no, no. Calm down! Calm down! I said 'beginnings' of one. Hehe. I'm not going to bite you. Not yet anyway. My last visit to a Hemoslug was some weeks ago. The hunger was to be expected, though the timing was less than desirable, that's for sure.

So, here I sat, depraved of a human's promise as well as nourishment. Needless to say, I was not in the best of moods. In a manner most grumpy and cranky, I sat in continuous wait, rudely dismissing any and all who approached me with a careless wave of my hand. You see, being a whore came along with great perks. Regardless of what my moronic manager may have fooled himself into thinking, I work according to my own schedule, and I get to be selective about whom I work. Yup, that's about it, and that's exactly how I like it.

Finally, much to my excitement, I picked up on a familiar scent. I was more than capable of distinguishing Frankie's scent out of a crowd, having been made love to him just yesterday. By 'made love' I mean fucked, but the latter sounds unfittingly cheap. What happened yesterday was too wholesome and innocent to be considered a cheap fuck. Argue with me all you want, I'm sticking with 'made love' and that's that.

The young human approached me awkwardly, as hesitant and timid as he was the previous night.

"There you are," I said, standing up from the porch step on which I sat. "I've been waiting for you."

Not bothering to wait for a reply, I grabbed the human by his wrist and led him inside my uh... cubicle... stable... office... thing. What? I'm an impatient guy.

The boy, Frankie, seemed shyly fixated on the floor, not at all daring enough to look me in the face. Though he tried his hardest to conceal doing so, I would catch him peeking at me on occasion. Although it was very childish, it was also very lovable.

Not one to beat around the bush, I removed my shirt and plopped down on my 'work' bed. With my trademark deviously sensuous grin, I stretched my arms to the underside of my pillow, and arched my nude chest outward, pretending to stretch my limbs.

In a pitch lustfully welcoming, I offered, "So... Frankie, what would you like for me to do to you tonight?"

As I presented myself in the most flirtatious way possible, I could hear the human boy's heart pound with excitement. His breathing became irregular, his composure seemed to wobble, and a bulging tent made itself evident at the front of his jeans. "Uh... well... I-"

To my annoyance, my hungry stomach chose that particular moment to grumble, interrupting my companion.

"W-what was that...? You okay...?" inquired the adorable Frankie, already adorning a face of concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a slight stomach ache," I lied, not wanting to scare him with the truth. The last thing any human wants to hear come out of a vampire's mouth is 'I'm hungry'.

"I didn't know vampires could get stomach aches..."

"We sure can. Let me tell you. This one time, I sucked this old geezer off, and my insides hurt for, like, an entire week! Apparently, acidic cum is a recognized 'extra' in certain parts of the United States. It was fucking painful!"

Frankie blushed so furiously, that I had to laugh a little. His timid ways were more than adorable, and it made him a lot of fun to be around. To be completely honest, I've never felt so at ease and comfortable around a human before. Not since, well... let's not get into that... Anyway, it might have been the beginnings of an infatuation, but I wasn't sure. Once again, calm down! I said 'beginnings'. Not that it mattered. I knew better than to indulge in whatever it was that I felt. He was a paying customer, and I was simply his whore.

"So, how do you want me tonight?" I instigated, as properly as I could manage, trying my hardest not to seem eager.

"Well, ummm... would it... would it be okay if I... if I... uh... kissed you, a little bit?" he suggested, in a voice faltered by timidity and uncertainty.

I nodded in the positive and gestured for him to sit down. The moment he did so, I leaned forward for an awkward peck. NOT because I was eager, I was just doing my job. As familiarity set in, Frankie reacted accordingly. Slowly, the kiss grew a little bit deeper and a little bit more comfortable. You know, I can't be too sure, but I think this was his first actual kiss.

Much to my annoyance, my stomach grumbled once again, ruining what could have been a great and intimate moment. At once, Frankie detached his lips from my own, and looked toward me with unease.

"You're hungry, aren't you?" he asked, curiously.

"Don't be scared. I'm not going to bite you," I dismissed the idea, already leaning back in to continue our kiss; only, Frankie wouldn't let me.

"That's not... I wasn't... not what I meant," he fumbled, beginning to blush. "I'm not scared of you. I was just... just... a little bit... you know..."

"Don't be," I assured him, giving him a grateful smile. I was touched. It was very rare for me to be treated with respect... you know, with me being a whore and all... so to be treated with concern and worry for my wellbeing was simply amazing. Frankie's attitude toward me was caring and innocent, and it made me like him even more. As impossible as it may seem, his inner beauty was more beautiful than that of his outer. Whatever parents bred this boy left one hell of an impression on mankind. Hell, I'm not even apart of mankind, and I'm impressed all the same.

This time, it was he who grabbed me by the wrist and led me out the door. "Come on, let's get you fed," he smiled.

With an amused grin, I let the strange little human lead the way.

As we stood before the giant copper dish on which sat the most appetizing Hemoslug we could find, I fumbled clumsily with the tubing system to which it was connected. What? I was born in the 1970's. I'm not all that familiar with modern vampire technology.

"Hehehe, you have no idea what you're doing, do you?" giggled an amused Frankie, finally loosening up, if only for a tiny bit.

"Haha, shut up! This is a new design. I'm just taking a moment to figure it out," I lied, reaching for a complicated tube handle.

"Ummm... I don't think you should be touching-"

Frankie never got the chance to finish. I must have mishandled the tube or something. I don't even know. All I saw was red as a warm gush of blood splattered me all over.

Frankie was quick to clutch at his mouth to suppress his laugh. I simply stood there, face and chest drenched in blood, mouth agape. The expression on my face must have been hilarious to Frankie, as his suppressed giggles grew louder and louder, until he finally burst into a raucous fit.

I don't know what compelled me to do what I did next. Perhaps I was just having too much fun. I leapt at Frankie and wrapped my arms around him in a tight hug, smearing blood all over him as well. His reaction was priceless: a less than masculine squeal and a frantic flailing of the arms. And although he was initially grossed out by the blood, he did return the hug. This may be positive thinking on my part, but I think I just made a friend.

"This is so gross!" he laughed, finally wiggling out of my embrace.

"Hehe, as gross as it is, I have to say, red is a good look on you," I teased, shaking droplets of blood out of my own dark brown hair, and wiping blood smears away from my hazel eyes.

In reply, Frankie stuck his tongue out at me.

"Haha, that's very mature of you," I said, tossing an arm around his shoulders. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up. A cute boy like you marinated in that tasty sauce? That's asking for trouble."

Together, in laughter, we walked away from the messy spill, completely forgetting our initial purpose of getting me fed. Through the chaotic party crowd we travelled. I was already very much familiar with the everlasting bursts of glitter, the erratic party lights, and the crashing waves of music; however, Frankie seemed lost and overwhelmed. Noticing this, I tightened my arms around him, and wordlessly gave my promise not to abandon him in the devastatingly wild surroundings. It was a new feeling for me. I've never had anything of significance that needed protecting, but the moment I felt Frankie lean into me for safety, I knew him to be very much worthy of holding onto.

The two of us must have looked very ridiculous. A blood-covered human boy frolicking innocently about in a swirling crowd of vampires, seemingly happy in the arms of a blood-covered halflife? Those that noticed regarded us with odd looks. Of course, equipped only with his inefficient human eyes, Frankie failed to notice the stares. As for me, I stopped giving a shit as to what people thought of me long ago.

Upon entering my work threshold, I was approached by my twerp of a workmate.

"Dude, Chief is going to FRY your ass. You missed all your appointments," remarked Evan. He was a boy of less than formidable height and even less in maturity. At the physical age of about eleven, he was not one to be taken seriously. Not to mention that his ridiculous makeup and head full of shaggy bleached-white hair was almost laughable.

"Evan, shut up," I droned, not in the mood for his childish antics. "Shouldn't you be under a pile of old men somewhere?"

"I finished early," he grinned, proud and smug. "So... um... Greggles, why are you covered in blood? And what's with the human? Is he 'protected'? Are you going to eat him? Can I have some?"

Frankie seemed to pale right before my eyes.

"Evan! Shut the fuck up! You're not being funny!" I barked. Angrily, I shoved the little prick, causing him to tumble backwards.

"I was just kidding, jerkface! Sheesh! Cranky much?" Evan retorted, rather childishly.

"Yeah... well, it wasn't funny," I said, not tolerating the objectifying of my newly made friend. Not intending to intermingle the two whatsoever, I latched onto Frankie protectively and led him deeper into my 'work' building.

Evan did not follow. Once out of earshot, Frankie took it upon himself to apologize, as though the distasteful exchange was somehow his fault, "You shouldn't have yelled at him because of me. I didn't mean to freak out the way I did. I-I'm sorry, that I did, you know... freak out. I really didn't mean to."

I presented to him an amused smile in return. "That was you freaking out? Haha, you're too cute. Don't worry about Evan though. He's used to being yelled at. Trust me on that. Now, come on, let's get you cleaned up. I wouldn't want anybody thinking that I 'bloodied' a 'protected' human. The Elders would be on my ass so fast-"

I was interrupted with a kiss on the cheek. When I looked toward Frankie in wonderment of why I deserved the kiss, he simply shied away. Smiling to myself, I ruffled his light-brown hair and held him more lovingly in my arms.
